I wanted to love this book so much, but ultimately it was just ok. I liked the main character and the Instagram influencer angle was a lot of fun, but the central mystery wrapped up way too quickly and was unsatisfying.
The book starts off strong, but abruptly switches gears halfway through. The mystery isn't even introduced until that point, and this is not a long book. There just isn't enough time to deal with fleshing out a full mystery, and the resolution is rushed and doesn't make a ton of sense.
Part of the issue may have been that I read Goodnight Nobody just a few weeks ago, and there were some BIG similarities in the climaxes of both books. I might not have been as bothered by the problems with the mystery resolution if they were not the EXACT same problems I had noticed in the earlier book.
Overall though, I always appreciate Jennifer Weiner's writing style and I enjoyed reading this book.
