My ten year old daughter read the entire series within a few months. One of the books is almost 900 pages and she read it in 2 weeks! Finding 1 book that keeps your child intrigued and helps him or her develop a love for reading is amazing. J.K. Rowling gave my daughter 7! And now she's reading Fantastical Beasts and Where to Find Them.
Now I've been reading the books she's finished and her younger siblings are eager to read them as well.
