After buying off brand for years it's time to admit to myself and to the world that even though I am cheap, there simply is no substitute for 3M when it comes to tape. I use it mostly to seal comic books in their bags and boards, and no other brand stays as versatile for as long as Scotch Tape. No in-home shipping station is complete without it. So do yourself a favor, don't buy off-brand, life is too short to live with regret. Buy 3M Scotch tape and get it right the first time.
