This was the "must have" gift for the Holidays, so I wanted to make sure I got one that worked. I ordered one from Beathaces here and one from Toyk there. They arrived about the same time. They were packaged the same except for the printing on the boxes. They both travelled well and without damage.
Both flying balls worked. They are identical except that one has a push button on/off switch and the other has a sliding on/off switch. They both came with USB cables and charged up quickly. Both started and flew well.
The Toyk had a remote switch that did not work. The Betheaces had an identical remote that did work. Further, the Betheaces remote worked on both flying balls. That's how similar they are.
So, we ended up with two operational flying balls and one operational remote. Decided to play with one ball and hold the other as a spare.
The Flying Ball is cool. It does react when you put your hand under it and it has a lot of oomph. When it hits something it turns off and falls to the ground, but both balls took a licking and kept on ticking. The propellers are substantial enough that if you take one to the face it's going to leave a mark, and I wouldn't put it in the hands of a little kid. The eight year old loved it though.
