I bought two of these cars for grandchildren--the same car my kids had thirty years ago. Tiny Tykes was reliable and durable. Not only that, thirty years ago the cars came fully assembled. This version took three adults, one MBA, and two college graduates hours to decipher the COMPLICATED directions in order to properly assemble the TOY! We assembled one and my son elected to return his rather than assemble it. When corporate upper management makes 500-1750 times their lowest paid employee...and every penny is pinched to grant even greater salaries--the consumer gets less, and less, and less until it's ridiculous. Make some cuts at the top and sell the flipping thing assembled! Frustrating and absurd! This is not a brand I will automatically trust again. And you can pooh pooh my complaint all you like--that does not make it any less valid. What the heck has happened to Yankee Ingenuity and PRIDE?
