It’s a long ride from Red Mars to Blue Mars, but what a ride. KSR obviously did his scientific homework, but he also wrote an epic trip. It was cool to be reading about Blue Mars and remembering when the First Hundred arrived to a barren planet, and how they built it up for survival. Sometimes getting through the ad nauseam descriptions of planetary formations and “terraforming” and atmospheric tampering was a bit of a slog, but you really were there, experiencing it all with the “Martians”. Great book trilogy. I’m looking forward to reading more of his stuff.
