First of all, it was so easy to go from box to desk. In fact, it took longer to open the box than to get everything set up and working on my desk.
I could not be happier because it does everything as advertised, and now I can move up and down several times a day, something that reduces fatigue and increases my productivity. I use the up and down positions about 50% of the time each, so the variety keeps my energy levels up. For me, the up position works best for emails, webinars, video conferences, and when I need to get things done faster by keeping my focus.
As an added bonus, the Varidesk also raised my screen in the down position by nearly 5 inches, something that improves my working head posture. The 36" version I got is large enough and sturdy enough to hold all my working tools well, while allowing for smooth and steady transitions. I am also now exploring with some of the middle positions for different work activities, such as when two or more of us are working together on a project.
The only unexpected shortcoming is that I had to put my speaker phone on the top tier to avoid getting a slight background "tunnel" sound, but after adding some fabric under the unit, the echoing seems to have gone away. My only regret is not having one earlier.
