This is my FAV vegan meal. My niece loves it too, who is very hard to please. Make it for meat eaters - they'll never know it's vegan. I use Le Creuset because I can't cook! This bag is enough for only 2 people. I make basmati rice in my 3cup Dutch oven and the rice comes out perfectly every single time. As that is cooking, I prep broccoli, fresh carrot slices, bamboo slices and water chestnuts in a steamer. I use zero oil or butter in a Le C frying pan, add the chix pieces in frozen, cook 3 minutes a side and it comes out crispy coated perfectly. If you use oil it'll be soggy!! the bag of sauce laying on the hob is warmed up by now. When the rice is done in 12 min, I add rice to a bowl, pour some sauce all over to coat the rice, add the veg, mix it up, then top with the chix pieces. IT TASTES JUST LIKE CHINESE FOOD TAKEOUT! Now, if I cook with any other pots/pans, it's not the same for me. I'm a horrible cook. But this is my go to meal if anyone pops over, no questions, they're getting it - and it's gobble up every time. I have 3 bags in my freezer as I type this. I wish they'd make a variety of Asian cuisine like this one.
