Customer Review

Meadow, the narrator of this story, can't believe her luck when she answers an ad for a roommate. Turns out, the person who placed the ad was Lauren, a pretty and popular gal who Meadow recognized from one of her college classes. Of course Lauren didn't remember Meadow. Why would she? Nobody ever noticed Meadow, a socially awkward misfit who'd gone through life pretty much invisible to anyone like Lauren.

And now, not only was Meadow sharing a home with Lauren, they were becoming fast friends. Lauren gave Meadow expensive and stylish clothes from her closet, gave her makeup tips, and took Meadow to her hairstylist for a new 'doo. For the first time in her life, Meadow has a best friend and is part of the popular crowd. Life is wonderful! But that all changes when Meadow discovers something she shouldn't...

I love, love, loved the first half of this book! Did not want to put it down. Didn't like the second half as much. A bit convoluted and some of Meadow's behaviors didn't seem logical. Nevertheless, it was a pleasurable read. This was the second book I've read by Minka Kent, and I love her writing style! Will be waiting impatiently for her next book to come out.

Four stars and change!
