Bryson's Short History of Everything filled this reader with awe at the wonders and breadth of the universe and the earth. This tour of the human body made me feel as if I was trapped in a high school biology class with a teacher who was only occasionally interesting and often creepy. Anyone who has hypochondria should steer clear of this one. You'll become so self-aware of everything that could go wrong with your body that you'll be googling symptoms for every weird disease you can imagine. I found myself speed-reading to get through this. It simply wasn't that fascinating if you've already had basic biology in school.
