Connelly's "undercover" plot started weak and then ran out of gas entirely. (One of his Russian captors simply throws himself out the open door of a plane ... really? That's the best you've got?). The other plot, involving Bosch unraveling a claim that he had framed/tainted a case years ago was a bit better, but even then, not really engaging. Connelly seems to be phoning it in at this point. Too bad; he's been so good up until now.
