I was looking for inspiration to get my butt off the couch and this book was perfect. Very funny and loved her views on all the phases of training and real life journal examples! I know zero about running so based on the comments of other helpful reviewers, I will grab another guide, preferably written by a medical resource who is also a runner to help balance out a training program.
I'm am so glad I read this! The author is someone I can relate to much better than the born to run athletes I see jogging by all the time who have perfect legs and outfits (sigh). Yes I'm jealous! :). Hope to find someone like the author to run with and keep me laughing for the whole 26 miles of the marathon.
