Another novel which describes how computers become alive through Artificial intelligence wherein the first action performed is self preservation. Such a frightening yet real possibility. The premise is extremely believable, yet the possibility of wealthy nine ancestors keeping the nine scrolls of mankind is farfetched. Back to the book. A typical exciting Cussler book, which is difficult to put down. It has all the elements of a Clive Cussler novel. History in relation to present day. Many incredible tools possessed by the OREGON. Saving the world, yet not from a megalomaniac. An interesting twist; the OREGON has two factions attempting to save the world. One faction is generally good and one faction generally evil. These factions clash resulting in an interesting sub plot. Not something I 've come across a lot in Cussler's novels. I always enjoy Clive Cussler novels, especially the OREGON files and NUMA files with Kurt Austin. If you love Cussler novels this is one of the best. If you are new to Cussler novels, this one will cause you to want more. A great escape read, a great novel!
