These scissors are much heavier and overall, much more nicely made than I was expecting for the price. The lack of cost, however, really shows in the blades. While they are sharp, one pair has a warped blade and the points do not align; the other pair has better alignment and much less warping but the points are of different thickness. The screws loosened almost immediately as well, and unlike well-made scissors, they cannot be tightened or adjusted.
If you’re looking for attractive and serviceable snips to cut and trim threads while working (and make them into a modern chatelaine, as I did, bc lazy) and save wear and tear on your good scissors, these will do ... or just give in and get the Ginghers/Singers/DMCs especially if you’ve gotten yourself into some massive embroidery project. Life’s too short for crappy scissors.
