I purchased the Techole HS301 HDMI switch after one of the HDMI inputs on my Panasonic Versa HDTV TC-P54S1 failed. The unit appeared to be dead-on-arrival (no picture). Customer Service very promptly sent me a replacement unit, but it also did not work with my TV. I then tried the unit with a different, newer TV, and it worked right away! Evidently, the HS301 does not work with some HDTVs. My Panasonic TV is about 9 years old and supports 1080p at 60 fps (or 24 fps). The unit works with my LG HDTV, but I don't need it for the newer TV so I have to return the product. I can't find anything in the product description to explain why it won't work with the Panasonic Versa TV. If the unit is compatible with your TV, I think you will find it to be easy to install and nicely designed, but be forewarned that you may have to return it due to incompatibility with some equipment. I hope that Techole can determine the cause of such incompatibility and either upgrade the design to resolve it or identify the limitation in their product description, as I wasted quite a bit of time on this.
