I liked reading this book, especially interesting is some of Rechs' backstory.
The reason for 4 stars is that I felt there was a lack of consistency in the behavior of the Savages-- at the end, they were willing to sacrifice a lot of resources to capture a few live calories, but earlier in the story there was no evidence of this. This made no sense to me. Also, I expected that Cas would at least launch that loaded ship killer at one of the Savage hulks towards the end... but no. The typo level was mid-range, maybe a dozen were found, not enough to be disturbing.
Finally, I would have done differently than Tyrus at the end. The thought of thousands possibly waking up as live entrees did not appeal to me, and the UW did not seem likely to save anyone anytime soon.
