Bought this projector about Jan 6th. Had it all set up then the remote won't work unless your within 4 feet of the unit! Tried new batteries, universal remote, nothing worked. Emailed Optoma, they said ship it to us "At Your Expense"! Cost me $50 to ship a brand new projector to them! Totally ticked me off. I waited till now to write this review because I just NOW got the projector back! Was afraid they would have held it for ransom if I wrote this review too early. It's just crazy to pay $50 out of my pocket for their own faulty projector that somehow passed quality control.
ANYWAY, the projector itself is very good. The darker the room, the better the picture. You can have a lamp on and the picture is ok. Pretty simple to set up. I pre-measured the distance I need for a 150" screen and mounted the projector on the ceiling. Perfect distance. If it wasn't for paying to ship a bad projector, not to mention they had it for almost 2 months, they would have had a happy camper. Can you say "BenQ"?
