I saw on TV an OJ Simpson juror being interviewed who said he voted Not Guilty and when asked for the reason said, “Because he’s OJ! ”. Everybody understands it: Evidence, DNA, test results and testimony - they don’t count. The defendant’s celebrity and the juror’s emotional recollections of touchdowns made fifteen years ago – they do count. You can’t convict a God. Could the same be said of Theodore Roosevelt? I think so and believe that’s what happened in this case, which left Teddy's legacy intact.. Thanks to Dan Abrams and his scholarly friends who bring us the whole truth and nothing but the truth about our past Presidents’ legal experiences. I very much enjoyed their Lincoln book and found this one full of surprises.
