If you want to use this anywhere close to a wall, get something else. Electric guitars have to sit in it at such an angle that the stand has to be a few feet away from the wall.… Otherwise the headstock will be hitting the wall. Actually, this thing is annoying even if you don’t use it near a wall; it has a larger floor space-footprint because of the weird angle. Every other electric guitar stand I have positions a guitar at a more vertical orientation. … I have not tried this with an acoustic guitar so I can’t comment on that. This is partially on me for not noticing that this was allegedly a multi-purpose guitar stand. Had I noticed that I would not have purchased. The more things a product tries to do the less optimized it is for any particular thing it’s allegedly designed to do.
I don’t recommend this as an electric guitar stand and I’m going to get something else.
I’m sure returning it would cost me about eight dollars in shipping and at least half an hour of my life, so probably not worth returning. I will just donate it
