I absolutely love this product! I am a certified personal trainer and nutritionist so I only like to take and recommend the best health products I can find. I researched vegan protein powders through Labdoor - site that does independent testing on many different supplements and the results are free to look at. Look under protein powder and the vegan category- Garden of Life is number one. Now this specific one hasn’t been tested as it is a newer one but they are similar and I trust the company.
I personally feel so much better when I use this protein in my morning smoothie than when I don’t, even though I take good vitamins as well and am very healthy. I don’t like it in a shaker bottle with water or milk- it isn’t very tasty and is grainy. I use 1/2 scoop every morning (it is enough for me as I put other things in it as well) in my smoothie and I use a Vitamix- which I highly recommend because it blends it so well and makes it so creamy! I’ve made smoothies for so long and experiment so I’ve found some wonderful combinations.
Here’s a favorite super healthy green smoothie (I don’t measure so amounts are just estimates):
1/2 cup coconut water 1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk 1/2 scoop of this protein powder in vanilla 1/2-1 frozen banana (makes it creamy!) 1/2-1 cup frozen mango & pineapple 1/2 cup fresh organic spinach 1/4-1/2 of a large avocado (makes it so creamy!) 1 teaspoon fresh ginger 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon Other great additions I’ll sometimes add: chia seeds, Maca powder, matcha green tea powder, roasted almonds/almond butter, oats
Just be careful with the serving sizes- calories can add up! I’m very active and workout everyday so I need a calorie dense smoothie with lots of protein but adjust to your needs! Hope this helps! Give it a try and see if you like the protein powder- it is high quality but everyone is different with tastes, preferences and dietary needs.
