I'm so happy that their are people who benefit from these books. I, personally, think that they are useless. I understand the importance of shape recognition as a pre-literacy skill, but I do not see how this book does that efficiently. Where does it focus on specific shape recognition in any of the books? The characters are made of shapes, so you can point them out... But can't you point out shapes in any book? Some of the books are congested with so many characters you would think you were reading a Game of Thrones novel. I seriously had trouble keeping up with the storyline in the sequencing book because there were so many people going to see somebody else... These books miss the mark for helping toddlers with reading skills. On another note, my son & I both enjoy the pre-reading alphabet books by BOB (unsure of the title). They are much more practical and the ways that they are helpful are not so nebulous.
