I wouldn't have considered the Dyson at the normal price point. I just didn't think it could be worth it. After purchasing this via the Woot promotion (refurbished) I have to say that I would totally reconsider paying full price for the Dyson products. This vacuum is amazing. I already had a Roomba which I used to clean up main living room on a daily basis (light debris, etc). But just one pass with this Dyson nearly filled up the canister. I know the mobile robots aren't as effective as uprights, but I didn't expect the volume of stuff it sucked up into the canister. Quite gross, really. It is easy to clean. It feels like a limp Transformer and at first I thought it was broken but it takes some getting used to handling this device. It's light for its size and awfully nimble. The commercials talking about no loss of suction are true. A full to the brim canister of fine dust and stuff and the thing was still going strong. I love this vacuum! The only problem I had was the registration. Woot sells this device via Amazon but they don't do a great job supporting the sale. I asked about the serial number since the one ON the device is incorrect when attempting to register the device for the limited warranty AND the sticker on the manuals provided were missing. They said I'm supposed to contact Dyson since they made the device. Seems reasonable, maybe? But how do I get support on a device with a missing/invalid serial number? This is a terrible customer experience, but I don't blame Amazon or Dyson (the device itself) which is why the DEVICE itself still warrants the 5 stars.
