It saddens me greatly to write this, since I am a big William Gibson fan.
I received Archangel by mail and was stoked to read it - after all, William Gibson + graphic novel? Outstanding, I thought.
I was gravely disappointed. The artwork is...not good. A few of the male characters are so generically drawn that it's really hard to tell them apart. I don't understand why, for example, the different eras that the story takes place in were not given a different treatment visually. The artwork did not help tell the story, in my opinion, and in turn, made the sparse dialogue and constant changes of place and/or time far harder to follow.
In short, a passable short story ruined by poor artwork.
