I have no need for a waterproof notepad at all. Like a lot of people, I suspect, I like to carry a notepad with me at all times in my pocket. My problem was that the cardboard covers would disintegrate and the flimsy metal spirals would become deformed long before I had actually used up all the sheets in the notepad. With these Rite in the Rain notepads that is no longer a problem. They are indestructible, but I'm not entirely happy with them. The plastic covers warp and curl, which takes up a lot room in your pocket (see picture) and the waterproof paper has a thick greasy feel to it. I wish the company would make a nonwaterproof version with thicker plastic covers that don't curl and ordinary paper inside.
