I am the ultimate Apple fanboy, dating back to the Apple II days as a certified Apple technician, and I've been in love ever since. However, while I really wanted to love this keyboard, it broke my heart.
Cons: • There is virtually no tilt to the keyboard, and it's not adjustable. It's also very low profile (maybe 1/4" lower than the traditional wired Apple keyboard). Your experience may vary, but I found touch typing on something that is nearly flat is almost impossible. • The keys are quite low profile, and don't offer much in the way of differentiation against your fingertips. Again, it makes touch typing very difficult. • The key travel is very short. I don't get a satisfying tactical feedback when typing. • Typing is noisy. The keys clack when you strike them, and they feel cheap. • Expensive.
Pros: • Long battery life. • Cordless, makes for a neat desktop. • Connected without fuss. • Caps lock key is illuminated. • Function keys are full-size.
Bottom line, I feel that Apple really blew it. It's no wonder that the original wired full-size Apple keyboards are now quite expensive on the used market. I won't be parting with mine.
