Wow! I just finished and want to read it again! This is Christian historical fiction at it's very best! World War ll is a favorite of mine and this was one of the best. It took the reader to a time of change, fear, death, destruction but also to a time of real courage, love and true frienship. It was also such a redemptive story about forgiveness found in Jesus and the healing of walking in that forgiveness! Oh how I hope Lynn Austin makes a series with more of these characters and their stories! I didn't want this book to end!
