I bought a new computer desk and wanted to get both of my monitors off the desk to free up space. I wanted a decent dual monitor setup so after much research and comparison of models I bought the Vivo Dual Monitor Desk Mount. When it came I was surprised at the weight of the thing. Taking it out of the box I was very impressed with the heft and quality of each part; solid machined steel put together with nice chunky bolts. Because my monitors do not have VESA mounts on the back I had to purchase a couple

. These worked great and I was able to mount each monitor to the Vivo stand.
Vivo includes several cable management clips that you can attach along the length of each mounting arm (including one for the main "pole" that the monitor arms connect to). These were especially nice because then I didn't have monitor cables hanging down everywhere. In fact, once you get everything in place and have your cables tucked into the clips you can hardly see them (see the photo).
Once I had everything set up I noticed that one monitor was sitting a lot lower than the other. It took me a bit to discover that at the top of each VESA bracket behind the monitors there was an adjustment screw. I tried to adjust the monitor by turning the bolt with the supplied Allen wrench, but it was difficult to turn and eventually stripped (see photo). I contacted the manufacturer by email and told them about this. They were very quick to respond and sent me two new parts with the adjustment bolts. When I got them I had to install the sections and then I tested the bolts and this time they turned easily and I was able to adjust them. Unfortunately, after a lot of "adjusting" I still can't get the right monitor to line up with the left one. I have examined the whole monitor stand and cannot find any reason why this is happening - no defects or anything crooked, etc.
Aside from that I'm still very satisfied with this product. It is a very solid stand and the monitor arms can be moved into many different positions. The only reason that I deducted a star is because the replacement parts they sent me had nicks and scratches on them and you could tell they were used - or maybe handled too much to make sure the adjustment bolts were working.
