These clamps work perfect! I am using them to replace the original clamps on a small vehicle air compressor. No solder necessary, just needle nose pliers and a real strong hand. If you pinch the stripped wire down with the front clips, then you pinch the insulated wire down with the rear clips, the clamps have a very sturdy grasp on the wire. I definitely recommend these for $2.50!
