I lived in SE Florida when Miami & Ft. Lauderdale were like the "wild west" days out West after the American Civil War.
The story was pretty true to what I know happened but the acting was second class. Definitly not Travolta's best effort. And several of the other charatcers were played by what I would consider B-list actors.
So, if you know nothing about these days in Miami you will probably like it more than I did.
People who live in SE Florida and remember Don Aranow and his go-fast boat companies may be disappointed.
