I've read every Bosch novel. At the point now where I feel like I'm dragging around this heavy shadow of what Bosch has become, a guy who served his country and was, still is, a hell of a detective. This plot barely suspends disbelief. But seriously, the opiate and POTUS rants are rather nauseating. I read fiction to escape politics. What's "interesting" is that Connelly had plenty of time to make edits--politically, he looks rather silly now, but obviously doesn't care. He's got his book sales and the Bosch Prime videos. I guess he can afford to lose readership. Consider me gone, Mikey.
