First, I love Helena Hunting’s writing...normally. This book started out strong and I loved the chemistry and banter between Stevie and Bishop. The narrators were great, both portraying the characters with emotion and I loved that.
It saddens me that I have to do this to explain why I’m rating this story 2 stars when normally I would enjoy this author.
The problem I had was about half to 3/4 of the way through when the book seemed to go the exact same way some of her other books do... the heroine questions the hero’s intent, she doubts herself, there’s a photo of the hockey player with a female fan, the Ex/guy interested in heroine tries or does sabotage the relationship. Unfortunately, with this happening it makes me feel like there’s just new characters without a new plot. I wanted to skip a few chapters because I just felt like I had heard it all before, even if there were slight differences, it still felt like I could predict exactly what happened.
Hockey, Physical Therapist, Brother’s teammate, hate to love
