FPS gamer since 15 years. I bought this monitor to replace an ASUS 60Hz that I had to buy after a relocation. The difference with 144Hz is huge and you can definitely see the improvements with this monitor. As others have reported the default settings are kinda ugh and you have to adjust them by setting the monitor in Standard Mode and fix some brightness/contrast tuning. Make sure to install the BenQ drivers that you can download from the BenQ website if you don't have a cd-rom drive. Also set 144hz in Windows/Video card settings in order to make sure to use 144Hz. Yes, you need to perform some tweaks with this monitor as it is not perfect out of the box but, as a gaming monitor, I would expect buyers to be average gamers that know how to adjust settings on hardware/Windows, so I'm giving this product a 5 starts review. Aesthetically is not the best but it is made to work great instead of bells and whistles. Also you see BenQ Zowie at the majority of the famous big LAN events for a reason. I will definitely buy it again in the future or recommend it to a gamer friend.
