It stopped the exhaust manifold leak on my 2009 Tahoe. That is the big plus. Very well made. The only thing I want to add is that it did not take me 30 minutes to install, more like 12 hours and 30 minutes. My 2009 Tahoe is a hybrid. The Hybrid has a 6.0 liter engine, not the 5.3. I installed the Dorman bracket on the Driver’s back, side of the engine. The area to install the two mounting bolts is almost impossibly tight. That was the big time eater. I mainly did the job from top but had to get underneath at times, to loosen and reposition the heat shield and to loosen a wire harness bundle. After you have mount bolts installed and tighten the rest is easy. The bolt that screws down on the manifold is easy access. In the end it is still a better option than removing the broken bolt as you could damage the head in that process.
