This is overall a really nice set of paints—you get a nice variety of regular and “special” colors (neon, metallic, glitter and glow in the dark). As an added bonus, two brushes-one “ “fine point” and one more wide—plus some stickers were included in the package. The box itself is a nice heavy duty cardboard with little wells for each paint bottle. So all of that is very nice. The two drawbacks of this set (hence the four stars): 1. There is only one glitter color —gold. Rather than multiple versions of yellow (ochre? Really?!!) how about a rainbow glitter, or at least more jewel toned glitter options? Similarly, there is only one purple but multiple shades/versions of all the other basic colors. There’s even two whites and two blacks—but only one purple. Strange. 2. The ease of use was uneven—on some bottles, the color came out at s nice doped, with s good flow. On others, the amount of pressure required to get the pain out meant that you started out with an unsightly blob on your artwork. A couple of the thirty bottles were seemingly dried out at the tip—had to jam a paper clip all the way down the nozzle to start the flow of paint.
So overall, this was definitely a nice set. Would I get it again? Probably. The other highly rated option for just a few dollars more ($18-ish vs $24-ish in March 2019) didn’t seem to include the glitter/metallic options that were a big hit for our household. So I probably would but would love to see an add-on set that offered various colors in metallic and/or glitter!
