I havent had the need to get a new computer monitor since the last time I bought one in 2012, a Planar SA 2311W 120hz, which is still to this day working accordingly. But I wanted to get a new monitor, and I didnt want to get a 4k one, because I'm not doing any 4k gaming on my computer. I came across this monitor a couple of days ago, and what first caught my attention was the price. At $233 its one of the cheapest 1080p 144hz 1ms 27" monitor I have come across Amazon.

The box arrived and it was mauled a bit around the corners, but the monitor was intact. I had read that to achieve 144hz you need an hdmi 2.0 cables so I ordered
IBRA Orange HDMI Cable 6ft - UHD HDMI 2.0 (4K@60Hz)Ready -18Gbps-28AWG Braided Cord -Gold Plated Connectors -Ethernet, Audio Return -Video 4K 2160p,HD 1080p,3D -Xbox PlayStation PS3 PS4 PC Apple TV , and connected the monitor with that. It looks great, it took me a little time to get used to it, because I thought it was going to be sharper, but the icons looked a little blurry, after tweaking the colors and adding some sharpening to the screen the monitor looks now vibrant and pretty amazing. I am considering later on buying a second one to dual screen, because the low bezel on the sides of the screen is perfect for that.

Some people complain that you can't raise up and down the monitor, but I was OK with that because the height i have it sitting at its fine. I am probably going to add a mounting arm for my monitors later on.

Bottom Line: 1080p 144hz 1ms for under $250
