We bought the small 50 mile antenna after reading a few reviews hoping this would work. When I first hooked it up, I got nothing. I went into my TV, which is a 10+ year old Mitsubishi , went into settings and allowed my TV to auto scan the channels. When I say "I got nothing" I realize now that the TV was set to analog channels, but when I went into the TV settings and set it to auto scan, it cycled through and eventually got to digital channels and that's when the magic happened. The quality of the local channels came in incredibly clear (PBS, 5, 10, 12, etc...) and I get channels I never even knew existed. As stated I am in Phoenix, AZ Uptown, Missouri and 20th Street. The antenna sits on a shelf, so the higher the better since I tested with it on the floor , but I am really impressed at the quality and highly recommend. Just remember to let the TV scan the channels, the DIGITAL channels... Also, with new receivers having HDMI out, I get full surround. Awesome. Hope this helped!
