I wish it was made in the USA, because I am not sure if there are carcinogens or other toxic materials in the iron or used during the manufacturing process in CHINA. So far so good. Seasoned in the fire and then in the oven. A lot of smoke indoors, but necessary for proper seasoning. Cooked with it the same day and it provided thorough and even cooking over a hardwood and charcoal fire suspended by a tripod.
