I've always wanted to be able to record my guitars, acoustic and electric, and had no idea how it could be done, or what I would need. Did lots of research on the Internet and found a site that recommended the Zoom H4N Pro 2016.
I've only had this less than a week now, and am slowly learning all it's functions and capabilities. There are many sound recorders out there and my research told me that the Zoom was a lot easier to learn than most of the others. It does take a little bit of time to be able to use this, but the results are amazing as far as I'm concerned. The build quality of this machine, and the sound quality it produces far surpasses what I had hoped for.
Battery life is not that great, but I hear the same thing about the other brands of recorders. So I bought the Zoom AD-14A/D power adapter. I think this is a good idea, especially while learning to use it. It gives me all the time I need to explore without fear of draining multiple sets of batteries.
You'll also need an SD card in order to use it. I ordered the SanDisk 32GB Ultra Class 10 SDHC UHS-I card which will hold hundreds of hours of recordings.
I am Very Happy with this product, and having a blast using it!
