There is nothing wrong with the Keyboard I received, but it is notable (to me, at least) that while this was listed as "New" by Amazon, the item I received was, in fact, refurbished. Upon receipt, the box was opened and the wrapper already removed. I have no issues with returned items being resold (assuming there is nothing wrong with them), but they should be advertised as either "used" or "refurbished". I might expect that were I buying from an individual on an auction site, but I would expect better business practices from Amazon.
As to the keyboard; I upgraded from the Apple Wireless Keyboard I've had for around 7 years. My principal reason for upgrading was the fact that this version is rechargeable. The new keyboard has very few differences from the old model, but the keys use Apple's new "butterfly" mechanism. This makes the travel different and also results in the keys being noticeably louder, with each key having a very audible click that was not present on the old model. The tradeoff, however, is that the keys are much lighter to depress. If you spend a lot of time typing, that is a benefit, but if you prefer a quiet keyboard, you might consider staying with the previous model.
