Thanks to other posters for flagging this. Have an HE washer, used Downy ball fabric softener dispenser and softener setting per washer instructions. I got scary, horrible, so-itchy-they-were-painful hives in several locations over several weeks wherever my clothing rubbed slightly -- this pic is where yoga pants bunched behind knee and where hem met skin during a remote workout class. These hives individually lasted 4-5 days (instead of normal couple hours for hives), left purple spots on my skin that are still there after weeks, and led to doctor visit and medications. I can't prove causality, but given others' experience I think it could definitely have been caused by the rinse. I cannot overemphasize how miserable this series of skin lesions was to endure. I would not recommend this product for an HE washer, and I'll never use it again.
