When looking for larger mouse pads there's usually the two sides - you have something more office-oriented (just enough to politely balance a mini keyboard and a very portable mouse) or something for gamers (that is branded with anything they can possibly think of).
This mousepad is a great texture and feels better than my previous steel series (certainly thicker) and the shape is the best for a keyboard / mouse setup (I have my ducky and a M55 and do not feel cramped in the slightest - i keep my controller on the top right corner and my mouse has never hit it).
My only complaint is that the bezel'd sides cause for dust and stuff to get caught in it. It comes out easily with a harder brush or a plastic card but it's a part that quickly gets dirty when compared to the rest. That being said as long as you're not eating chips or crumbly things around it you're all good.
