love these pants

For me, it can be difficult to find pants that fit right, but these pants fit perfect.
Just recieved the prAna pants a couple days ago and wore it out in town and they fit great.
I have another pair or tow that I've had for about 6 months at this point and they seem to be holding up fine so far.

Best pants I've ever owned. Period.

Pros
* Dries insanely fast
* Flexible in all directions
* Looks good enough to wear out at night
* Durable for hiking
* Legs roll up and snap
* Leg pocket has side entry zipper

And most importantly
* Crotch area has a couple of tiny holes, meaning both fart dissipation and general air circulation is amazing. Also means these can be worn multiple times with no funk issues.

Cons:
* Price. That is the only thing that is not best in class.

Really comfy, nice looking pants. They run a bit long, are stretchy, and the leg openings are pretty large, so even in boots, they can drag the ground. I'm usually a 36 waist & 32 or 30 length, & in these, the XL waist worked, but 32 was way too long. Even the 30's drag a hair with boots on. Other than that, I love these. I work in landscaping in North Texas, & these are lightweight & just stretchy enough to allow lots of free movement. They're real nice looking, and are definitely professional enough for my job. Due to the stretchy material, any items in the pockets are overly apparent, but that's fine with me. Hopefully these things are somewhat tough as well. I got the khaki ones, and the color & stitching is great.

From experience: the Zion pants are better than The North Face Paramount Peak II (similar price range, $65-$80) and the Columbia Silver Ridge Pants (lower price range, $30-$45).
I own all three brands and was immediately impressed with the prAna Stretch Zion. The fabric is very nice and stretchy and pants sit and look pretty cool. The 'ventilated' gusset crotch is a bonus.
The only thing that would make these pants perfect is an extra zipper pocket (I prefer several secured pockets, not just one).
If it happens to be on sale, grab it - I know I will.

My wife likes how they look on me & said they look nice enough to pass as casual dress pants. So, I sometimes wear them to work with a collared button down. They have a slightly more slim fit than I'm used to. But, the stretch fabric makes them very comfortable.

I originally bought them as a versatile pair of pants for rock climbing when the temperature is cooler on our hike out to the crag, but warmer while climbing. The ankles roll up to a point at mid-calf where they secure to 2 snaps. It is a pretty subtle and secure design. One side or the other has unsnapped while climbing, but rarely, and it has never been problematic.

The pants are more durable than I thought they would be. They have a very soft feel to them. Despite days of climbing, they have no significant signs of wear. However, they are starting to pell on the knees a little bit. It is only noticeable if you are looking for it, but worth a mention.

I purchased the pants as a casual travel pants. I wore it during a weekend trip in 90 degree plus weather. It was comfortable in the hot weather.

This is my second pair of prana zion pants. The last pair have lasted 10 years or so and are mildly stained and worn but totally functional. The material is very tough but comfortable as it has a nice bit of stretch. Prana has improved on giving many more waist sizes and multiple inseam lengths. These 30 inseams are just right and true to measurement. Unfortunately the "Brown" color is actually mispackaged as "Cargo Green". Still, not an ugly green but nowhere close to Brown. At the sale price, I will be keeping them. I wear 33 (tight) or 34(loose) waist in Levi's and these 34's fit loose, but my experience is that after a number of washings the weave tightens up a bit so expect they will be just right eventually. I only wish Prana would go back to a more chino styled rear pocket instead so I could wear them at the office. Super comfortable and very durable.

The first time I ordered these pants I didn't realize these were MURKA sizes (huge), so the SMALL pants fit like I was ready for "Hammer Time!"

The second time around I ordered XSMALL pants, and those fit just right, except for a defect that made the knee pocket's zipper poke out for everyone to see (the small piece of fabric that usually covers it is defective).

FIT
Pants fit well without being constrictive, and stretch crotch is phenomenal and comfy. Can barely feel their weight and knees don't bunch up in the way when rolled up. However, something prAna is known for is irregular fit in all their clothes, so hope you end up with a pair sufficiently long enough -- out of the three Stretch Zions I ordered, I had to return one of them because the legs were way short.

DESIGN
Stretch fabric is great and pants look very good, even in more formal settings if you know what to wear it with. Water-proofness repellent whatever seal didn't work well with me, but that didn't matter to me since I was primarily concerned with finding a solid pair of pants I could climb with. Pocket design and placement was a big plus for me, and I find myself using the "knee pocket" for just about everything -- so dynamic! Crotch holes aren't super-obvious and keep you cooler down there during hot days. Fabric breathed quite well for me, and whatever sweat got on it (I'm a really sweaty guy) just wicked away and dried VERY QUICKLY. Superb design! Again, if you can find a pair that fits.

DURABILITY
I read review after review and was told these pants were virtually indestructible. This was not the case. I'm fond of off-trailing / bushwhacking, for all other nature fans that can't stand trails and fake stairwells to summits...
