5.0 out of 5 starsA four-week vacation is the promise, but practical examples make it possible.

Are you a gambler? I bet that you hate gambling. Otherwise, you wouldn't be working yourself to the bone 80 hours a week. Your last real vacation was six years ago, and you only know this because your partner reminded you that you promised to take a week off this summer, and now summer is gone.
Everyone says they want to work for themselves, but they are scared to make the leap. You and I are different. We already made the leap of faith to start our own business, and we realize that running a business is less risky than working for someone else.
Unfortunately, instead of living the entrepreneurial dream, you are constantly working in your business to keep it
running profitably. You need to work ON your business, but you don't know how. You need to learn how to design a business that doesn't depend upon you for growth, profit, and happy customers.
Mike Michalowicz discovered how to get his business to run itself, and he wrote Clockwork to show you how to design your business to run profitably without you. After writing the first edition of Clockwork, after teaching hundreds of entrepreneurs how to implement the principles of Clockwork, and after clockworking his own business, Mike decided to revise and update Clockwork. It has what we all crave, real-world examples of people like you and me clockworking their business.
Mike writes in a style that is funny and easy to read. The funniest parts are stories about his own entrepreneurial mistakes (the same mistakes you and I make every day). I read the first edition of Clockwork in 2019, and I loved it. I only wish I had implemented his ideas more aggressively. If I had, my business would have grown faster, and I would have been able to take even more time off. In the past three years, my business has doubled in size. This year my 79-year-old dad and I were able to climb Mt. Hood during my three-week vacation while my team kept the business going. This week I am relaxing with my two youngest daughters, reading Clockwork Revised and
Expanded, and designing my company's future. Next week I fly to Myrtle beach for a vacation with my fiance and no children. In January 2024, I plan to be skiing for the entire month, and I will not be checking work emails.
Buying this book is a true no-brainer. At best, you can take your four-week vacation. At worst, you will learn how to run your business with twice the efficiency. Either way, I bet Mike has a couple of pearls of wisdom you can use immediately to improve your personal life and make your business more profitable. I'll be reading Mike's new book for a second time to see if I can find a couple more ideas to clockwork my business in 2023.
