This is book is worth the read. You laugh, you relate and you learn. The Captain is great at combining modern day scenarios with history. Several people in my office read bits and pieces of this book while it was on my desk and decided to order it for themselves. It now lives on my coffee table and when friends come over, they all end up with a quick history lesson because they cannot resist picking it up to see what it is about. Who knew Egyptians loved their cats so much????

Read these short stories to my husband on the way to a cabin we were meeting friends at for new years. We laughed out loud and enjoyed them immensely. I got him the book for Christmas because he loves history but I know he hates reading so this worked out well :)

If you're looking for a modern twist on history, look no further. The Captain does an excellent job explaining current themes, such as "ghosting", with refreshing historical references. Personally I've never been a huge fan of reading about history, it tends to be quite boring, but The Captain's realistic tone keeps your attention so well that you won't want to put this book down.

I love these stories and his perspective on them. This book is hard to put down. Adds humor, common sense, and love advice to (some strange) historical events. You won't be disappointed.
