Can be used for AP as well as college level micro 101 course. Good book with great details and a few examples. Even a little back part for definitions, test review and tips. For AP, you can at least score a 3 with this book as long as you read it and memorize it. Very simple.
The formulas can be a little confusing, especially if you were taught another way by you teacher/professor. Not hard to figure out though.
The Crash Course books were excellent for my son to review for his AP exams. Like most teenagers he waited until the last minute to really review and this book was perfect because it condensed down exactly what he needed to know and skipped what he didn't. Also loved the way the books are organized. We will be buying all the crash course books for the AP classes he's taking next year.
I bought these books the last couple years for my AP tests. Crash course books are usually my go tos when it comes to studying for them. They go over the major concepts without crowding with information. These books are great for procrastinators like me who wait until the last two days to study for their APs. However, I would only use these books for review since they are quite short and do not go super in depth into all the topics. As for the results, I ended up getting 5s and 4s on my exams.
Really helped me prepare for the test in a hurry. I didn't take the class, just studied from this book and took a few online practice tests and got a 4. Basically the same as Macro, just more vocabulary. Solid book, would recommend this brand for any of the AP tests.
Amazing companion for online class, I referred to this book so much, it saved me countless times. Love how easy, clutter free and straight to the point this book is. It is not in any way short of what you need. Definitely a must have if you take AP Micro. Barrons not so much but that book definitely helped. If you only want 1 book definitely get this one, if you can get 2, get the barons as well as it will help you understand a bit deeper if your intellectually curious..
I self studied for the AP Micro exam along with taking a local college class. Honestly without this book I would not have gotten a 5. This book was incredibly helpful in letting me know what I needed to know, and how much of it I should know. The author seemed very personable. If you have more questions after reading it, this along with ACDC guy on YouTube will get you a great score!
