How customer reviews and ratings work

Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

3.0 out of 5 starsGood For Beginners

I bought this book because it was recommended for learning the double dug biointensive method of growing, used primarily in the hoophouse. It is a good book for beginners, but really is lacking any substantive or new knowledge for the experienced gardener. If you're just learning to grow, I would recommend this book wholeheartedly. If you are an experienced gardener looking for detailed information on how to use this method, skip it and shop around. I find it hard to believe that this is the best text available on this subject.

This was enormously popular at my community garden. I bought a copy for myself a few months ago, and after I shared it with the garden members several of them went home and ordered themselves a copy. Easy to read, engaging, thorough.

As far as I'm concerned, this is a classic worthy of being on every gardener's bookshelf. I'm sure the information will still be relative decades from now. It's a keeper.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Read For Survival.

Five Stars all the way because you can't argue with this book. It is the final word on small sustainable gardening. It is the result of years of scientific research on how to grow food to survive. Even if you're not inclined to be a gardener, get a copy of this book to have... just in case...
