The book is an easy read. So it can be read in the coarse of a day. The concept of manipulating your mind to hear no and not take it personal and try to increase how many people or businesses you reach out to is really discouraging in the since it tells you to go for the “no” but then turns it around to a “not yet”. If you are an introvert doing marketing then I would say don’t read this. Most introverts are visual people so “no” is not a word you want to hear over and over. Because those of us that are introverts have learned to except “no” and move on. The book does reference that, but at the same time tries to make you be pushy when some simply cannot change how they are and become the squeaky wheel. It even used an example of a child that kept asking his mom for something, the mom kept saying no until she was so frustrated and angry she gave in. That part of the book made me feel as if i was trying to tell me to be disrespectful. In my successful marketing experience came from talking less and listening more; which again this book references but at the same time made his alter ego seem arrogant and pushy. I firmly believe marketing is a mind set but can be just as effective by positive affirmations and visually seeing your goals day by day, week by week, month by month, year by year. Prepare the night before and start each day with gratitude.
