I am someone who would be perfectly happy spending most of my time reading. I enjoy a variety of genres with few requirements except that it is well written. (Okay, not a fan of technical pamphlets no matter how well written!). I have followed Mr. Averett’s writing career for many years and have watched him evolve into an excellent writer. Level IV is an example of his talent. I am in the same field as the protagonist and find her charming, believable, and realistic in her stumbles and mistakes. While it is not necessary to read the prior two books in the series, it does allow the reader to truly understand Carillo’s struggles balancing her personal life and her work. Mr. Averett draws a compelling character that is both realistic and enjoyable. Well worth the time.
