Employers are only hiring Reviters who can demonstrate their way around templates, setups, archives, ribbon:dropdown functions, and synchro.
This is a (necessary) show and tell before you start fooling around with Revit MEP software. Revit is NOT like AutoCAD. Revit is a whole different level of organization, collaboration and stock archiving. Revit has dozens of ribbon directories, drop tabs, hover notes. You will be overwhelmed. By the time you reach the middle of this textbook, you'll know the lingo but have forgotten all the tips, so use a high-lighter and sticky-tabs with tiny pen notes on them. Then start at the beginning again, and open the software. Don't just jump into Revit thinking your an AutoCAD shogun. You'll develop fatal bad habits, and because Revit MEP runs on a network, and is collaborative, every one of your colleagues will know you're an i-bot.
