About anything you might want to know about just about any Linux Distribution, it's in this book!

It's a major project to work one's way through it all, but it will be a wonderful reference later on.

It's also interesting to know where all the pieces came from.

Sold damaged

Other books and items arrived pristine condition, this one has a split crease on the back cover and damage to a corner. I don't care for aesthetics, so not worth my time to return, I'm going to read it just the same, just wish it would have been in "new" condition as expected.

This is a MASSIVE book on Linux. As in the title this truly is a bible on Linux as it has every aspect of the OS covered that you could think of. This is a big text so it can be tiresome to read but, it's an excellent reference material to have on hand and will undoubtedly help you in getting any Linux certification you're looking at.

Very comprehensive tome. Currently, in the *Business* Linux world, you're usually either doing a Red Hat variant (CentOS or Rocky Linux or RHEL), or you're doing SUSE.

This book very thoroughly covers these variants. Over the course of 20+ years, I've acquired a Linux cheat-sheet, but this goes into more depth.

However, if you want something more succent (and in that vein maybe more useful), get a Linux handbook!

The book likes to be lightly used there is white fading on the folds of where the books is meant to be opened. The inside of the book seems to be intact and no folded pages. It's just the outer paperback of the book seems worn down a bit. If you want a copy of this book and don't care about the condition of the book being new and factory then buying this book should be fine. Don't expect the book to come like it was straight from the factory however. Some of the reviews people have gotten worse condition books so it is a gamble. You might end up with a beat up book or you might end up with a slightly used book that is still acceptable to own. This might be why the price is cut down in half. It's likely they are trying to get rid of their book inventory. That so I think the price and the condition of the book are okay at the price it's being old at. I also think they should change the condition of the book from new to slightly used not to mislead costumers.

It is a great book. It provides enough information but is not overwhelming. I have previous experience with Linux distributions besides Fedora. The book focuses on fedora or red hat. I would recommend for entry or advanced users. It’s a great book to learn about Linux.you can learn online without a book but I personally like a book that I can refer back to.

I used this book for my Linux Administration class and it made me, generally a windows user, look competent. It has a fantastic layout and a glossary that other glossaries should want to be like when they grow up. There is a lot of detailed information for advanced professionals and those who need to write a paragraph for class. It's such a great reference for all my Linux based courses and my cybersecurity ones too. This is a reference book that I'll be relying on for a long time. My only complaint was I didn't find and buy it sooner.
